Inaugural lecture on the topic: “Recruiting between theory and practice”
The selection of staff is one of the basic tasks of human resource management. Every year countless recruiting procedures are carried out in which the candidates are thoroughly tested. Even if the success of a company or organization often depends on the quality of the employees, the selection of staff is in reality often neither thoroughly prepared nor systematically carried out. The lecture highlighted the question of what we know about the current procedures for selecting personnel and what these findings mean for practice.
